Cold and cloudy

A cloudy afternoon over Kent with temperatures 5c across Kent and the weather is looking to become pretty still over the forecast period.

Tonight the cloud cover remains to keep temperatures above freezing so there should be no frost to contend with and very light winds too.

With little breaks in the cloud cover looking out into Wednesday morning, and with high pressure firmly planted over the UK - the only difference showing currently is the wind. Temperature's on Tuesday 4-6c, wind increasing slightly from the North East (still) up to 20mph, a touch higher towards the coasts.
Tuesday night offer's the chance of some light rain lasting into Wednesday morning but still no frost to contend with

Dry but cold days and even colder nights

Flicking through the NAE 06z this morning it is looking like for once a very simple clear weather forecast for the weekend. Overall light winds, sunny but cold to very cold nights.

There is a veil of high cloud moving South-West across Kent giving a bright day today. I would think even this cloud burning away by the afternoon to end on a clear sunny note. By no means will this feel warm as temperatures peaking briefly 5-6c and dropping away into the evening in an Easterly breeze to freezing by nightfall is needless to say really, very cold indeed.

Overnight and still under clear skies temperatures will fall away very easily, possibly down to -4c in some rural areas. A Very frosty night to come indeed.

Sunday morning arrives clear, crisp and sunny. I would not be surprised to see a hint of frost remaining in sheltered spots of Kent for most of the morning before the temperature can recover to a dizzying high of 4c in the afternoon but a nice day besides the temperature. Clear and sunny once again, and lighter winds but still from the East.

The temperatures once again will drop away quickly and we could even start seeing the 0c quite early in the evening under the clear skies and dropping down to -2/-3c although lower still would be a possibility once more in the more rural areas.  Another frosty night to lead us into Monday.

Becoming cloudy with some dampness

Today's weather sees any high cloud should burn away to leave a mostly sunny but cool day today. We could even see a 7c creep in quickly before the day's end. The 15-20mph wind for Southern and Eastern Kent will ease as we go into tonight but under clear skies temperatures are going to fall easily down to -2c or -3c.

A partly cloudy Friday to start off with after a frosty start. Where the sun does come out it can quite easily push back some of the cloud for a brighter day, but turning progressively more cloudy as the day progresses. Temperatures not bad for March, 7c but still feeling on the cool side. Very light almost non existent breeze for Friday daytime.

Into the evening and overnight, cloud moves down from the North and brings light rain. This will help keep temperatures above freezing for Friday night and into Saturday morning
